Spark Plug Change
Three combined functions cause combustion, fuel, air and ignition, so fitting a new set of quality plugs will ensure better economy, acceleration and better all round performance. So here I'm going to tell you how I changed the plugs on my Zafira. With a nice cool engine start by removing the grey engine cover, then remove the four T30 TX star bolts that hold on the Ignition Module ( no plug leads here).
Once the four bolts are removed simply pull away the ignition module and place to one side, using your socket set and 16mm plug bit undo the four spark plugs and remove them using the long nose pliers.
You can now start to re-fit the four new plugs, the plugs are multi electrode and require no gapping. Now this is the most crucial part as you need to be extra careful not to cross thread the plugs as you re-insert them. A good way to do this is to put the plug in, put the socket over it and turn the plug in an anti-clockwise direction. You will feel a small click as the thread engages, once you feel this click you can start to tighten the plug by turning it clockwise. Nip them up nicely ensuring that no engine compression is lost, though do not really overtighten them.
Users Comment: One reader suggested a peice of cut off hosepipe placed over the end of the plug, insert the plug and initially tighen by turning the plug via the hose. If the plug strarts to cross thread the hose simply turns around the plug.

Once you are happy with the tightness of the plugs simply re-assamble the module, electrical connection on the right of the module and the engine cover.
tip for spark plug replacement, widely know method, place a small cut-off of garden hose over the top of the spark plug when inserting and if you end up cross threading it the hose will slip round on top of the plug and not force it on accidentally.
i will shut up soon. oh nothing left to read.
Anyway, you did ask for comments.
Sound advice, good pictures and easy to follow definitely better than a haynes manual for the beginner car mechanic.
Especially the EGR, that will save a few people loads of cash.
